The 2018 Subaru Crosstrek is a little more expensive this year, starting from $22,710 including destination.
Although MSRP is only $100 more than the outgoing model, the destination fee for 2018 Subaru models has increased to $915, making the new Crosstrek $140 more. As the second model built on the Subaru Global Platform, the Crosstrek is designed to deliver significantly higher levels of driving pleasure, agility, crash protection, and ride comfort. The model will be available in three trim levels when it arrives late this summer: 2.0i base, Premium, and Limited.
The standard 2.0i base model comes with a six-speed manual transmission, while a continuously variable transmission (CVT) is available for $1,000 additional. Every Crosstrek model comes standard with Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and the manual transmission-equipped models return 23 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway for a 25-mpg combined rating. The CVT features a seven-speed manual mode and returns 27 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway, resulting in a 29-mpg combined rating.
Under the hood is a revised version of the 2.0-liter Boxer four-cylinder engine now providing 152 horsepower, a slight bump of four horsepower over the first-generation model.

The 2018 Subaru Crosstrek 2.0i Premium starts from $23,510 with a manual transmission and the CVT is also $1,000 extra. The Premium model adds Subaru Starlink Connected Services, the All-Weather Package with heated front seats, windshield Wiper De-Icer, and heated exterior mirrors, as well as on/off automatic headlights linked to windshield wiper operation. There is also a new sound insulated windshield on the Premium model, along with standard Welcome Lighting.
At the top of the lineup is the Crosstrek Limited, priced from $27,210 and available exclusively with a CVT. The model builds on the Premium trim by adding X-Mode with Hill Descent Control, Subaru Starlink 8.0-inch Multimedia Plus system, 18-inch wheels, Keyless Access with Push-Button Start and Pin Code access, six-way Power Driver’s seat, and new Steering Responsive Headlights that can illuminate curves as the vehicle steers into them. Limited models also include automatic LED low and high beam height adjustment control, Blind Spot Detection, and Lane Change Assist.
Several options are also available on the 2018 Subaru Crosstrek, with one package adding a moonroof, Blind Spot Detection, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert available for $1,400 additional. Buyers can also add a package that includes Subaru EyeSight, Blind Spot Detection, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert for $1,395. Those that want EyeSight, a moonroof, Blind Spot Detection, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert will have to pay $2,395 extra.
There is also a package that adds EyeSight with Reverse Automatic Brake, High Beam Assist, and a moonroof for $2,095. For $3,445, buyers can add EyeSight with Reverse Automatic Brake, High Beam Assist, Navigation System, and a Harman Kardon amplifier and speakers package.
