New Mercedes Product Plan Signals Long Wheelbase GLC, Updated C-Class And More

A new product plan released by Mercedes-Benz has shown all the vehicles it will release in the next year.

The product plan shows the most recent vehicles Daimler has launched, such as the new E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet, the S-Class facelift, AMG GT Roadster and Smart ForTwo Electric Drive, but it also shows are the products it will release in 2018. Some of those we already knew about, such as the G-Class facelift and the CLS Coupe, but some are news to us, like GLC long wheelbase and A-Class long wheelbase. It’s not clear if the LWB GLC and A-Class will arrive in North America, but LWD versions of smaller cars are typically tailored to the Chinese market.

Based on the product map, it seems as though the first new Mercedes to arrive in 2018 will be the CLS, followed by the new A-Class, the C-Class facelift, the G-Class facelift and the production GLC Fuel Cell. Hot on the heels of the hydrogen GLC will be the GLC long wheelbase, followed by the AMG GT Sedan and finally, toward the very end of the year, the A-Class long wheelbase. It also looks as though Mercedes will also launch a new Sprinter van in mid-to-late 2018.
