The first Lamborghini Centenario Roadster to leave Lamborghini’s Sant’Agata factory has been delivered in the United States.
The Centenario Roadster and its hardtop counterpart were built to celebrate the 100th birthday of late company founder Feruccio Lamborghini. The automaker will build just 40 examples total (20 coupes and 20 roadsters) and all of them have already been sold. The roadster version pictured here is the more expensive of the two, with the hardtop ringing in at $2.2 million USD and the roofless version commanding $2.4 million.
The example delivered this week boasts a glossy bare carbon fiber body, which is joined by contrasting yellow accents, silver wheels and black brake calipers. The color scheme continues inside with Nero Ade leather and Alcantara covering the seats, dash, steering wheel and doors. It was delivered to an unnamed customer by Lamborghini Beverly Hills in California.

The Centenario is powered by a 770 horsepower version of Lamborghini’s 6.5-liter V12, which is mated to a seven-speed transmission. It will hustle from 0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds and go on to reach a vision-blurring top speed of 217 mph. Active aerodynamics and rear-wheel steering (a first for Lamborghini) also lend themselves to the car’s performance.
