Totally Redesigned 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Spied Testing with Major Changes

The next-generation Hyundai Santa Fe looks to be getting some major changes.

Spy photographers have caught the new SUV testing in Germany near the Korean automaker’s development center. It’s wearing a quite a bit of camouflage, but we can see that the front end will feature two sets of lights, giving it a more distinct appearance. The front end is also sporting a new grille that should be similar to the one on the 2018 Hyundai Sonata. Expect to see similar styling on the automaker’s upcoming compact crossover called the Kona, which Hyundai has already teased.

There’s heavier camouflage in the rear, suggesting Hyundai may be working on something significant. Rumors suggest the Santa Fe could grow in size to accommodate eight, as opposed to the seven-seater it currently is. Do expect the Santa Fe Sport to carry on as a five-passenger model, but it could get a name change to further separate the two in the market.

Look for the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe to debut in the first half of next year before arriving dealerships in late 2018.
