Some way, some how, the Fast and Furious franchise continues to get more absurd and over-the-top in a way that’s still entertaining. The latest trailer for the movie, which heads to theaters April 14, shows more about Vin Diesel’s betrayal to his team and just how Charlize Theron’s character will play a villainous role.

Just how crazy is the eighth movie in the franchise going to be? In this trailer alone, we’ve got a tank, a subarmine, rockets and missiles. There’s Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson taking on a torpedo, as well as catching a grenade with his bare hand. Theron’s character takes control of a city’s worth of cars, raining them down onto the streets and out of parking garages and buildings. And of course, there’s the return of Jason Statham’s character who played the role of villain in the last movie.
And to think we believed the insanity stopped with blowing welds off the intake manifold.
