The Already Large Lincoln Navigator Just Got Longer

Lincoln showed off the all-new Navigator at the New York International Auto Show in April and has now followed it up with the debut of the extended wheelbase model, dubbed the Navigator L.

The Navigator L has arrived just ahead of the Summer Solstice on June 21st, which is not by coincidence the longest day of the year. The new SUV is a full foot longer than the standard Navigator and features larger second-row doors for easier ingress and egress. There’s also extra storage within the floor behind the third-row seats, a feature that contributes towards the SUV’s huge cargo capacity.

Lincoln debuted the Navigator L in its top-end Black Label trim, but it didn’t stop there. The automaker has used the full-size SUV’s introduction to launch its special Black Label Destination trim, which builds on the luxuriousness with special travel-themed interior content. Pulling inspiration from vintage luggage, the trim line adds Mahogany Red Venetian leather seats to the Navigator L, along with diamond weave stitching and khaya wood laser-etched trim. Similar special trim lines dubbed Yacht and Chalet will be on offer as well.

The Navigator L will also come standard with Lincoln’s signature personalized customer service including pickup and delivery. This allows the customer to have a Lincoln Service Valet pick their car up at any location, provide the client with a complimentary Lincoln loaner vehicle and return the freshly washed or serviced vehicle once complete.

Lincoln has yet to price the standard-length 2018 Navigator, so pricing figures for the long wheelbase version aren’t yet available. You can expect it to be priced above the standard car and for the Black Label, Destination, Yacht and Chalet trims to carry further premiums.
