Spy photographers have taken another set of pictures of the camouflaged, pre-production BMW M8 testing. This time, though, they’ve managed to see the car’s interior.

Cunningly, BMW has camouflaged much of the car’s interior, too, but there are still some details to glean.

There’s a tablet doing some diagnostic work in the middle of the dash, but just above and behind it there’s a really rather large screen that looks like it might actually be part of the real car’s interior. Another shot shows a scrolling wheel under the central arm rest that suggests the screen might not be touch operated.

Behind the steering wheel, too, there’s a big screen that lacks the round bezels you find on the 5 Series, making it a little more like the competition and allowing the binnacle to offer a wider range of views.

A shot of the steering wheel also shows buttons for a lane keep function as well as automatic cruise control, which isn’t surprising given the nature of the vehicle.

Next to the gear shift you can find drive settings. Everything you’d expect is there, with Sport, Comfort, Eco Pro, and Adaptive all there and the ever-enticing traction control off button.

A trunk—with a surprisingly high aperture—can also be seen full of gizmos and gadgetry that’s doubtless doing all kind of complicated math to help BMW prepare the M8 for sale to the general public.

Under the hood we still expect to see a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 churning out around 600 hp.

Expect to see the M8 debut in 2018.
