Pricing Announced for 2018 Subaru Forester

Pricing has been announced for the 2018 Subaru Forester, and the crossover will start at $23,710 including destination.

The 2018 Subaru Forester will arrive at dealerships this summer and is available in standard, Premium, Limited and Touring trims while equipped with a 2.5-liter Boxer four-cylinder engine with 170 horsepower. There is also the 2.0XT model available in Premium and Touring trims with a 2.0-liter turbocharged Boxer four-cylinder engine providing 250 hp. All 2018 Subaru Forester models come standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.

Opting for a CVT on the standard 2.5i model will cost $1,000 additional, while the 2.5i Premium with a six-speed manual transmission starts from $26,610. The CVT for the Premium trim costs $500 extra.

Pricing for the 2.5i Limited model starts from $30,310, while the Touring is priced at $34,005. Both the Limited and Touring trims come exclusively with a CVT.

The 2018 Subaru Forester 2.0XT Premium has a starting price of $30,410 and at the top of the range is the 2.0XT Touring with a price tag of $37,005. All 2.0XT models feature a CVT.

The Japanese automaker also announced the new Black Edition package, an upgrade from the 2.5i Premium. The package comes standard with X-Mode and Hill Descent Control and LED Steering Responsive Headlights. It rides on 18-inch black alloy wheels and features fog lights with black accent trim, black finish exterior badges and mirrors as well as a front grille with blacked-out wing motif and chrome frame. The package is offered on four exterior colors: Crystal Black Silica, Dark Gray Metallic, Crystal White Pearl and Ice Silver Metallic and costs $1,150.

The Black Edition package also outfits the interior with exclusive black cloth upholstery with simulated leather bolsters complimented by a silver metallic and black gloss finish center dash panel. The leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift handle are highlighted with silver stitching, while the interior door handles have a chrome finish. Standard as part of the package are the All-Weather package, rear cargo tray and welcome lighting.
