Porsche Adds New Variants to Panamera Lineup

Porsche will introduce the two new Panamera variants, a base V6 and limousine-spec Executive model, at the 2016 L.A. Auto Show.

Revealed ahead of their public debut is the base-model Porsche Panamera, featuring a new 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine providing 330 horsepower while mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The standard model will send the power to the rear wheels, while shoppers looking for all-wheel drive can spring for the Panamera 4 featuring the same 3.0-liter V6 engine. With the new engine being smaller than the previous 3.6-liter V6 offering, it’s 13 percent more fuel efficient even though it provides 20 more ponies.

Also making its public debut at the 2016 L.A. Auto Show will be the Porsche Panamera Executive, a long-wheelbase variant that offers more interior room for passengers. The Porsche Panamera Executive has its wheelbase lengthened by 5.9 inches (150 mm) and also comes standard with a large panoramic roof, heated comfort seats with multi-way electrical adjustment in the front and rear and adaptive air suspension with an electronically controlled damper system (Porsche Active Suspension Management). In addition, the roll-up sunblind behind the head restraints in the rear is also standard.

As an option, all Porsche Panamera Executive models are available with a new large rear center console and the latest generation of Porsche Rear Seat Entertainment featuring 10.1-inch displays integrated into the backrests of the front seats, which can also be detached for a wide range of uses.

The Porsche Panamera Executive variant will be available in the all-wheel-drive Panamera 4, Panamera 4 E-Hybrid (462 hp), Panamera 4S (440 hp) and Panamera Turbo (550 hp).
