Porsche 911 GT2 RS Debuting at this Weekend at Supercar Heaven aka Goodwood

The all-new 991 Porsche 911 GT2 RS is set for a debut at the 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed on Saturday.

Although the Porsche 911 GT2 RS actually “debuted” earlier this month during the Microsoft Xbox press conference at E3 2017, the German automaker hasn’t officially released details on its newest supercar. That could finally change at Goodwood this weekend, where Porsche has a car under cover at its booth. Professional Porsche driver Leh Keen (@lehmank on Instagram) posted the above photo and there’s a sign saying “The next chapter begins. 01.07.2017.”

Reports say the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS will be limited to 1,000 units worldwide and all have already been sold. Power comes from a 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine generating close to 700 horsepower, which is paired to a seven-speed PDK transmission. We should know more in a couple of days once the supercar makes its official debut.
