Photos of the 2018 Porsche Cayenne Leak Ahead of Debut

There’s not much left to unveil of the new Porsche Cayenne.

Set to debut on August 29, the 2018 Porsche Cayenne has been caught on camera numerous times by spy photographers and now photos of the SUV in its entirety have shown up on the Internet. As expected, the overall design of the Cayenne isn’t changing dramatically, but the rear end is quite a bit different than its predecessor. Like the Panamera, the Cayenne gets a single light bar that runs across the rear, giving it a much more modern style than the current Cayenne’s bulky tail lights.

The front end doesn’t get any significant changes, although there are new headlights fitted on the updated front fascia.

Looking at the side profile, the Cayenne’s overall shape is a bit different and noticeably sharper. It features the same sloping roofline previewed in a sketch recently released by the German automaker.

Interior photos of the new Cayenne have also leaked, revealing a large infotainment screen in the center console. Overall the interior has been toned down for a simpler design with less buttons and knobs.

Although the exterior changes don’t seem significant, the new Cayenne does ride on the Volkswagen Group’s new MLB Evo platform. That means it shares its underpinnings with the new Audi Q7 and the upcoming Volkswagen Touareg. Expect more details including weight and powertrain options once the Cayenne makes its official debut next week.
