Photos of BMW Concept X7 Leaks Ahead of Debut

It’s big, bold, and all BMW.

The German automaker has officially teased something “big” will debut on September 8, ahead of the Frankfurt Motor Show. Now photos of the BMW Concept X7 iPerformance have leaked online, showing a flagship crossover that is indeed big. Since the photos were leaked, there’s no confirmed details on the concept, but we can see that the styling is similar to other recent BMW concepts, although this might be the largest use of BMW’s iconic kidney grilles we’ve ever seen.

There are some fancier elements to the design as well, including flush-mounted door handles and a panoramic glass roof. But what’s most interesting is the charging port on the front fender, suggesting the concept will show off a plug-in hybrid powertrain of sorts from BMW. It’s likely using something similar to what is found in the BMW 740e iPerformance, which includes a turbocharged four-cylinder engine combined with an electric motor and a 9.2-kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

Expect to learn more about the BMW Concept X7 in the coming days.
