Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta is truly the Ultimate Zonda

Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta is truly the Ultimate Zonda

There are many different versions of the Pagani Zonda, but the Zonda HP Barchetta that debuted at last week’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance may be the most extreme interpretation of the supercar yet.

The Zonda HP Barchetta was commissioned by Horacio Pagani himself – hence the ‘HP’ designation. The main feature setting it apart from other Zondas is the partially chopped windscreen, which is joined by other standout styling cues such as the covered rear wheels, arched central air intake and large carbon rear wing. There’s also a tartan plaid interior, the seats from a Pagani Huayra BC and some very stylish wood trim on the steering wheel, handbrake and shift lever.

Powering the Zonda HP Barchetta is an AMG-sourced 7.3-liter V12 engine, which is paired to a six-speed manual transmission. Lending to the handling performance of the limited-run supercar are the Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires from the Huayra BC. The tires also appear to be from Pirelli’s new ‘Color Edition’ range, which feature special designs on the sidewall akin to those seen on Pirelli’s Formula 1 tires.

Just three Zonda HP Barchettas will be built, and we imagine one (probably the car pictured here) will end up in the hands of Horacio Pagani. That means just two will go to Pagani customers and our understanding of the supercar market leads us to believe they’ve already been spoken for. At least we can enjoy it in the gallery here.
