Mercedes G550 4×4 is a Badass Off Roader That Doesn't Come Cheap

The Mercedes G550 4×4 Squared will be the most expensive G-Class model available.

As the most capable G-Class ever, the 4×4 Squared will start from $225,925 including destination, making it even more expensive than the Mercedes-AMG G65 that starts at $218,825. Featuring innovative portal axles, the luxury off-road SUV also has three locking differentials, a ground clearance of more than 17 inches and is powered by a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine 416 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. The powerplant is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission.

The new G550 4×4 Squared made its North American debut at the 2016 L.A. Auto Show, showing off its luxurious interior that now features an updated infotainment system with an eight-inch screen as well as extra connectivity options, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
