Mercedes-Benz Teases its Refreshed S-Class Cabriolet

A refreshed Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet will debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show and the fancy droptop has been previewed.

Sporting a facelift, the new S-Class Cabriolet follows in the footsteps of the sedan and will get several improvements. Although the teaser video isn’t showing much, expect to see updated front and rear ends along with new headlights. The cabin will get a few updates as well, which should include two new 12.3-inch high-resolution displays. An updated steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls should also be heading to the convertible.

Engine choices will carryover from the sedan, so expect a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque to be offered as standard. Higher-trim models will take advantage of Mercedes-Benz’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 463 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. At the top of the range will be an AMG S63 model, also powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 but with 603 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque.
