Leaked Photos Expose the 2018 BMW M5 in Full

Photos of the new 2018 BMW M5 have leaked ahead of the sedan’s debut later today.

As was the case with previous M5s, this new version does a good job of letting you know it’s a high-performance M car while still looking understated. The front fascia has been reworked with some larger intakes, while the rear features a small black rear diffuser and quad exhaust tips. Other notable exterior features include a small rear lip spoiler, subtle side skirts and black machine finish wheels.

If rumors ring true, the new M5 will be the world’s quickest four-door sedan. Boasting a 680 horsepower version of BMW’s twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine, it will be capable of sprinting from 0-60 mph in a jaw-dropping 2.9 seconds and complete the quarter-mile in 10.5 seconds at 126 mph. It will also do a vision-blurring 230 mph, according to the internet. If that absurd figure does turn out to be accurate, the M5 will likely be electronically restricted to 155 mph anyway.

None of this info is official, but with the 2018 M5’s debut scheduled for later today, we won’t have to wait long for confirmation from BMW themselves. In the mean time, you can get familiar with the new high-performance four-door by checking out the leaked images and video here.
