A Koenigsegg has crashed during testing, and it appears the car was heading to a customer in the U.S.
The Swedish automaker confirmed reports that an Agera RS crashed in Sweden after a photo of the accident surfaced on expressen.se. In a blog post on its website, Koenigsegg said the accident occurred on a track in Trollhattan after the driver lost control in wet conditions. The Agera RS was undergoing shakedown testing, which Koenigsegg says is typical for a vehicle after the completion of manufacturing.

The testing was at facilities owned by National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) and Koenigsegg said it is using those facilities for test driving and to prepare its cars for the U.S. market, suggesting this particular unit was bound for the U.S.
The good news is both the driver and passenger were both taken to a hospital and released shortly thereafter, so it doesn’t appear there were any serious injuries. The body work on the vehicle is definitely damaged, as you can tell by the photo, but Koenigsegg says it doesn’t appear there is any structural damage, nor has a technical fault been found.
