The production Jaguar I-Pace will make its official debut on March 1, ahead of its appearance at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
The British automaker confirmed the all-electric crossover will go on sale later this year, capable of a DC fast charge from zero to 80 percent in approximately 45 minutes. To get it ready for production, Jaguar has sent several prototypes to Jaguar Land Rover’s weather test facility in Arjeplog, Sweden braving temperatures as low as -40 degrees Fahrenheit.
In addition, the company invited one potential customer from Sweden to drive the car for the first time in Arjeplog, after raising some interesting questions on what it would be like living with the I-Pace in Arctic conditions.

Although Jaguar didn’t release very many details about the upcoming I-Pace, it did say while plugged into power, customers will be able to prepare the car’s battery and cabin temperature ahead of a trip without tapping into the battery’s range. Setting up preferred charging times and pre-conditioning schedules can be done from either the Jaguar InControl system, or the Jaguar InControl Remote smartphone app.
Look for the Jaguar I-Pace to be revealed on a live broadcast on March 1, 2018 at 1:00 PM Eastern prior to making its public debut in Geneva.
