Hyundai Veloster N Spied Testing on the Nurburgring

The Hyundai Veloster N, which is to be the first model from the automaker’s N performance brand to arrive in the U.S., has been spied testing once again.

The Korean automaker is kicking off the launch of its N performance sub-brand with the i30 N, but that won’t be heading to the North American market. Instead, the Veloster N will be the first N product sold stateside and spy photographers recently caught it testing on the Nurburgring. Wearing plenty of camouflage, just like the i30 N did when it first began testing, the Veloster N is expected to produce around 275 horsepower from its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

Although it’s difficult to see, there are a few visual cues hitting that this isn’t an ordinary Veloster. For starters, there’s large dual exhaust outlets in the rear and there’s a chin spoiler protruding through the camouflage up front. There’s likely a sizable rear hatch spoiler as well, although Hyundai has used some heavy camouflage to keep it concealed.

Hyundai promises that the Veloster N will be introduced sometime next year, so expect more details to emerge in the months leading up to its debut.
