The high-performance Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will make its debut at the 2017 New York Auto Show.
Speaking to at the 2016 L.A. Auto Show, Jeep head Mike Manley confirmed the American automaker is targeting to unveil the highly anticipated Trackhawk in New York next year. The Hellcat-powered SUV has been rumored for quite some time now, expected to sport the same 6.2-liter HEMI supercharged engine currently found on the Charger and Challenger models with 707 horsepower. Unfortunately, Manley declined to mention specifics on the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.

He did however say that the model will not replace the current Grand Cherokee SRT model, that’s powered by a 6.4-liter HEMI V8. The company believes there’s currently “space for both,” suggesting the Trackhawk will differ from the SRT in more than just powertrain. “I don’t see any reason to stop our current Grand Cherokee SRT just because we’ve launched the Trackhawk, because they’re going to be very different vehicles,” he said.
Expect the Trackhawk to arrive U.S. showrooms next September or October before heading to select international markets including Asia and the Middle East.
