Floyd Mayweather's Old Koenigsegg is Crossing the Auction Block

The only Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita to ever be built to American specification is about to cross the auction block.

Once owned by professional boxer Floyd Mayweather, the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita is one of the rarest cars in the world with only two units ever produced. Considering it’s the only one allowed to be used in the U.S., it’s little surprise Mayweather paid $4.8-million for it initially. The Swedish automaker originally planned to produce three units, but the complexity of the Diamond Weave carbon fiber process caused that number to be reduced to two.

Currently part of the Ash Crest Collection, the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita has just 1,947 miles on its 4.8-liter V8 engine with over 1,000 horsepower.

It will cross the auction block at the Mecum Auctions between Aug. 16 and 19, which takes place during the 2017 Monterey Car Week. Considering hundreds of millions of dollars worth of cars change hands annually at Monterey with all the high-profile auctions, we have little doubt this rare Koenigsegg will fetch a few million itself.
