Cadillac has come together with the Andy Warhol Museum, creating a traveling art exhibition featuring Warhol’s intimate personal correspondence, called Letters to Andy Warhol.
The exhibition will feature closely guarded material from deep within the museum’s archive, including letters, obscure artwork, along with other contributions from contemporary creators. The exhibition aims to explore Warhol’s artistic tropes–like the mingling of commerce and art or the trials and tribulations of fame–along with an examination of Warhol’s cultural reach, transcending genres.
Warhol’s correspondence with Yves Saint Laurent, Mick Jagger, the Museum of Modern Art, a friend of his at the New York State Department of Public Works, and Truman Capote come under scrutiny in illuminating the man’s personal experiences and the effect on his relationships.
Joining the letters are five works of varying mediums, spread over different periods of his career, all focusing on the Cadillac.
The exhibition also includes five artworks across varying mediums and techniques, from different periods of Warhol’s career, that all share Cadillac as the subject.

From Nov.15 to Dec.26 the exhibition will be open 7 days a week at Cadillac House, on Hudson Street in Manhattan. The public is welcome to attend, free of charge. Come 2017 the exhibition will pack up and head west to LA and hitting Miami in February, before setting out globally in 2018.
