Audi A8 Shows Up at Spider-Man Premiere Appropriately Disguised

Much like Spider-Man, the new Audi A8 is constantly showing up in disguise and with a camera (several, in fact).

And much like J. Jonah Jameson, I’m constantly yelling at my employees for more photos of both and smoking giant cigars at my desk (HR and I do not get along).

Fortunately for us all, the latest shots of both came at the same event at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theater, when both the A8 and the Spider-Man showed up to the premiere of the latest eponymous film in the series, A8: Homecoming.

The star of the movie, the A8, can be partially seen in several scenes ahead of its official reveal on July 11. According to Audi, parts of the front and side are visible in the film, as is the car’s level 3 autonomous driving function, which allows Happy Hogan (played by Jon Favreau) to take his hands off the wheel, freaking out Peter Parker (Tom Holland).

At the premiere, Tom Holland was ferried in by a specially camouflaged A8. Dropping the usual swirl camouflage, it donned a spider web camouflage pattern for the special occasion.

Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr, for their part, showed up in an uncamouflaged R8 Spyder.

The film, which is receiving rave reviews, opens worldwide in July and is the first Spider-Man film to take place in the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe.
