2019 MINI Cooper Lineup Receives Minor Updates

The updated 2019 MINI Cooper will make its first public appearance at the upcoming 2018 Detroit Auto Show.

Changes for the MINI Cooper Hardtop 2 Door, Hardtop 4 Door, and Convertible aren’t significant for the 2019 model year, but there are some visual appearance changes and technological upgrades. On the outside, the updated MINI Cooper models receive new MINI logos, new body finishes (including Piano Black exterior), new alloy wheels, and LED rear lights with a Union Jack design. More changes can be found inside the cabin, with an extended range of leather trim, interior surfaces, and Color Lines available, while the there’s an updated multifunction steering wheel and infotainment system with a 6.5-inch color screen.

In addition, USB and Bluetooth are standard, while navigation with a touchscreen is available as an option. Wireless charging has also been added and those who use MINI Connected and MINI Connected XL can enjoy new functions. Lastly, the MINI logo projection from the exterior mirror on the driver’s side is also a new feature.

Previously announced is the availability of MINI Yours Customised, allowing customers to further individualize and personalize their MINI vehicles. The MINI Yours Customised range includes side scuttles, decorative strips for the interior on the passenger side, LED door sill finishers, and LED door projectors. The service takes advantage of 3D printing to create the personalized products, that can easily be swapped with the factory pieces.

Pricing for the 2019 MINI Cooper models has not yet been announced, but stay tuned for more details when we check out the updated range at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show.
