2017 Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 Makes the Standard Ford Raptor Look Boring

Just in case the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor’s 450 horsepower isn’t enough for you, Hennessey Performance is offering an upgrade package.

The VelociRaptor has arrived for the new Ford F-150 Raptor, upgrading the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine to 605 hp and 622 pound-feet of torque. That results in a zero-to-60 time of 4.2 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 12.9 seconds at 110 mph. The power increase comes from additional airflow cooling from higher flowing twin turbochargers that breath through a lower restriction air intake system. The standard Ford F-150 pushes 18 psi of boost while the Hennessey VelociRaptor does 21 psi, with all the boost fed through a larger and more efficient air-to-air intercooler. Out back there’s a free-flow true dual stainless steel exhaust system and everything is kept in tune with an updated factory engine management system.

The company only plans on building 100 units for the 2017 model year and it’s asking $22,500 for the upgrades, including installation at its facility in Texas. The VelociRaptor 600 can be ordered directly from the company or local Ford dealers. It also comes with a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty from Hennessey.

Along with the performance upgrade, the company is offering a special VelociRaptor Off-Road Package that includes heavy-duty front and rear bumpers, LED lights, 20-inch Hennessey wheels with 35-inch Toyo tires and an overall lift of three inches. That package will cost $12,995 installed.

“Our last VelociRaptor 600 was very popular with our V8 Raptor customers,” said John Hennessey, founder & CEO of Hennessey Performance. “We are very excited about our latest upgrades for the twin turbo Ecoboost V6 engines and for our clients upgrade who want even more power, performance and off-road capability from their new Raptor trucks.”
