The problem: On affected vehicles, the rear drive shaft nuts and bolts may not have been properly torqued at the factory. This could result in the shaft coming loose and detaching while in motion. Should this occur, the shaft could strike the fuel tank and cause a leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source, such as a hot exhaust pipe, could result in a fire.
