The problem: Drivers may experience erratic shift patterns, such as a sensation of acceleration while coasting down hills, surging when braking or a transmission that feels like it stays in gear too long. During slight acceleration from a stop, they may feel a surge or hesitation, and the transmission could feel rough at low speeds. Drivers may also experience poor acceleration or bogging at low speeds. This is all due to a software glitch in the powertrain and transmission control modules.
