2016-2017 Acura RDX Noise Issue

The problem: A creaking, rattling, buzzing or rubbing noise may emanate from the airbag area on the steering wheel when turning or driving. This may be due to the leather steering-wheel wrap spokes making contact with the airbag case below the steering wheel.

Vehicles affected by service bulletin:

  • 2016 Acura RDX
  • 2017 Acura RDX

Corrective action: Dealers will trim the leather wrap on the steering wheel in affected areas, eliminating the condition.

Warranty info: This service is being performed free of charge under Acura's limited new-vehicle warranty.
