The problem: After sitting more than four hours, the malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate on the dash. Additionally, a diagnostic trouble code may be lodged in the engine control module.

Corrective action: Dealers will replace the intake surge tank and reprogram the engine control module.

Warranty info: This repair is being done under Lexus' federal emissions warranty (96 months or 80,000 miles, whichever comes first).
