All affected cars equipped with a continuously variable transmission and built before Oct 1, 2010.

The problem: A clicking noise along with whining and humming emanating from the CVT can be heard inside the vehicle cabin while driving. The noise increases as vehicle speed increases; engine speed has no affect on it. On vehicles where this condition is evident, the problem can be attributed to a faulty set of CVT primary shaft bearings and one secondary pulley shaft bearing.

Corrective action: On vehicles where the condition is confirmed, dealers will remove the transmission and replace the faulty bearings.

Warranty info: Repairs are being made under the new vehicle warranty.
