Public transit is helpful for the environment since it moves many people in a single vehicle. The Pacifica Hybrid is similar: You get room for seven, fuel efficiency of up to 84 MPGe1, and if your daily commute is less than 33 miles2, and you’ve got a fully charged battery, it’s possible you won’t burn any fuel at all—depending on your driving habits, of course. Recharge at work? Great—that’s another 33 miles2 of all-electric, tailpipe emission-free driving for the trip back home. Get yourself—and six others—where they need to go, burning virtually no gasoline. When using gas and electric the total driving range can reach 566 miles.3

Using industry-standardized software, the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid has been calculated to have an environmental impact that’s some 31 percent less than the previous-generation model. Each and every unit can eliminate up to 21 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions over 120,000 miles—that’s equivalent to 22 average households for each and every single Pacifica Hybrid. Best of all, unlike some exotic, high-dollar hybrid and EV vehicles, the Pacifica Hybrid is priced and incentivized to put it within reach of the average shopper and qualifies for up to a $7,500 federal tax credit4. Braking Makes Power
Every time you apply the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid’s brakes, a process called regenerative braking recaptures some energy, which is fed back into the battery to help extend your electric-only driving range. Plus a built-in visual “coach” helps drivers brake in the most optimal way to recapture lost energy. This helps reduce emissions and can extend the life of the conventional braking system, reducing maintenance.
Reduced Demand on Electrical Grid
A few button presses on the central command screen, or on a connected smartphone app, can program the charging to take place only during off-peak hours—saving money and reducing the load on the electrical grid.
