Watch Richard Hammond Drag Race a Rimac Against an Aventador and an NSX

The first episode of the second season of The Grand Tour aired last week to the delight of millions of former Top Gear fans.

The second season of Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond’s motoring show got off to a dramatic start, with the opening episode being the one where Hammond crashes a Rimac Concept One during a hill climb event. Prior to participating in that now infamous hillclimb race, Hammond did a multitude of activities in the electric supercar, including drag racing it against the vehicles Clarkson and May had: a Lamborghini Aventador and Acura NSX.

The Concept One, as you are probably aware, is one of the fastest accelerating road-legal vehicles on the planet. With four electric motors making a combined output of nearly 1,100 hp, the Concept One will do 0-60 mph in 2.4 seconds, 0-124 mph in 6 seconds and 0-186 mph in 14 seconds. The top speed is also an impressive 221 mph. It’s safe to say the Aventador and NSX didn’t stand a chance in The Grand Tour’s drag race, but the only question is, by just how much did those established supercars lose?
