Last year, Buick teamed up with pro basketball icon Shaquille O’Neal on a new commercial for its LaCrosse; a year later, the basketball legend will star again in a new spot for the plus-sized sedan.
The commercial, titled “More Than I Expected,” is the second ad for the LaCrosse and will air across the country this weekend. In the spot, O’Neal will discover that the LaCrosse offers more than a typical luxury sedan, which comes standard with eAssist, a system that utilizes a compact lithium-ion battery pack and a small electric motor to help the 2.4-liter powerplant achieve an EPA-estimated 36 mpg on the highway.

“The fuel efficiency, the sleekness of it, the way it feels, I just think it’s a beautiful car.” O’Neal said about the LaCrosse in a behind-the-scenes video. “I don’t like commercials where they force stuff at you. We just want to tell them how the car looks, and we want to let them know we’re trying to save them some of that gas money.”
