GM Recalls 316K Vehicles With Faulty Headlights

General Motors continues to add to its record year of recalls with another 316,357 vehicles.

This time the vehicles are being recalled for possible intermittent or permanent loss of low-beam headlamps and includes the 2006-2009 Buick LaCrosse, 2006-2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer and Trailblazer EXT, 2006-2007 GMC Envoy and Envoy XL, 2006-2007 Buick Rainier, 2006-2008 Saab 9-7X and 2006-2008 Isuzu Ascender. Of the affected vehicles, 273,182 are in the U.S. while the rest are in Canada, Mexico and the rest of the world.

According to the American automaker, if the headlight driver modules are not working properly, the low-beam headlamps and daytime running lights could intermittently or permanently fail to illuminate. The condition does not affect the high-beam headlamps, marker lamps, turn signals or fog lights.
