Daimler Accused of Selling Over 1M Cheating Diesels

Daimler may be following in Volkswagen‘s footsteps, with a German publication reporting the brand sold millions of cars with cheating diesel engines.

Earlier this year in May, reports surfaced that Mercedes-Benz‘s parent company, Daimler, was under investigation for possible cheating on diesel emissions. A search warrant was issued by a Stuttgart court that started searches on Daimler sites in Germany and now it appears over one-million cars could have been sold with excessive emissions. According to newspaper those vehicles include various Mercedes-Benz models that were sold in Europe and the U.S. between 2008 and 2016.
