Audi RS4 Avant Spied Shedding a Bit of Camouflage Before its Debut

The new Audi RS4 Avant has been spied ahead of its full reveal next week.

The German automaker has confirmed the new Audi RS4 Avant will make its debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, and these latest spy photos give us an idea of what to expect.

Although it’s still wearing quite a bit of camouflage, some of it has been removed to reveal green paint on the roof and pillars. We can make out the aggressive front end of the wagon with its large front grille and side air intakes.

The hot wagon is powered by the same 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 found in the Porsche Panamera 4S and is expected to provide a bit more performance with 450 horsepower and 446 pound-feet of torque, like what’s found in the RS5. That should be good enough to allow the RS4 Avant to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in under four seconds.

The good news is we won’t have to wait much longer for Audi to show off the RS4 Avant at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, where  will be reporting live from the event. The bad news? It’s probably still not heading to North America.
