Audi R8 V10 Plus Spyder Stuns in Unique Shade of Green

The Audi R8 V10 Plus Spider made its North American debut among some fancy classic cars and rare exotics at this year’s Monterey Car Week.

Truthfully, we might have missed this Audi if it wasn’t for the eye-catching Micrommata green that’s exclusive to this vehicle. Naturally, if that shade of green doesn’t interest buyers, they can pick whatever color they want.

Officially the fastest production convertible Audi has ever made, this 610-horsepower vehicle accelerates up to speed as quickly as the hardtop. That means highway speeds arrive in just 3.3 seconds. Of course, a lot of that has to do with the swift-shifting seven-speed dual clutch transmission.  That roof is quick, too, finishing all its action in just 20 seconds.

The Audi R8 V10 Plus Spyder is a slick-looking car, but the other hardware in the German automaker’s display was just as impressive. The mid-engine road car was surrounded by two of Audi’s race cars (an older S1 hill climb car and a new R8 LMS) and some other RS vehicles like the RS5 and RS3.
