It has been rumored for years now, and the three-row Lexus RX might finally debut at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.
Japanese magazine claims the three-row Lexus RX will be unveiled late October in Tokyo, which would be an odd place considering the three-row model is mainly targeting the U.S. market. The publication also reports the RX 450 hL will mostly maintain the current model’s wheelbase while pushing the rear window further back. It appears the rear gate opening will remain the same and says the view from the third-row seat isn’t very good.

For years now, Lexus has been rumored to be developing a three-row version of its popular RX, and even a couple years ago, the company admitted it was a mistake to invest into developing the RC coupe rather than a three-row crossover. Spy photographers caught a seven-seater RX testing in August 2015, but the model has stayed mysteriously quiet since then.
