Shopping for a new vehicle this Memorial Day weekend?
There are plenty of good deals to take advantage of if you’re in the market for a new car. In the spirit of Memorial Day, has compiled a list of the 10 best sales available on vehicles assembled in the U.S., even if they aren’t from American automakers. The publication’s analysts checked 2016 model year vehicles for nationwide new-car incentives and discounts that result in notable available savings below sticker price. It also only recommended vehicles that performed well in testing.

Chevrolet Impala
The 2016 Chevrolet Impala has a potential savings of $2,066 off MSRP with incentives expiring on May 31, 2016. You can grab yourself one with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine or a 3.6-liter V6 and praised the Impala for riding like a luxury sedan, feeling cushy and controlled. It also received high marks for being roomy, comfortable, quiet and enjoyable to drive.
Chevrolet Traverse
If you’re in the market for a three-row SUV, one of the most competitive available today is the Chevrolet Traverse. Its 3.6-liter V6 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission is smooth and powerful, while returning a competitive 16-mpg overall rating. The publication applauded its firm, comfortable and quiet ride as well as its agile, secure handling. Incentives on the Traverse expire on May 31, 2016 just like the Impala and there’s potential savings of $3,080 off MSRP.
Ford F-150
There’s a reason the Ford F-150 is one of the best-selling vehicles in the U.S. You can potentially save $5,306 by taking advantage of incentives that don’t expire until July 5, 2016. Powertrain options include a 3.5-liter V6, 2.7- or 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 and a 5.0-liter V8. All engines are paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. The cabin in the new Ford F-150 is quiet, but did say that the ride is jittery and handling is “rather ponderous.”
Ford Fusion
Another popular sedan in the market is the Ford Fusion and you can go green while saving money with the Ford Fusion Hybrid. Potential savings off MSRP are up to $2,780 with incentives expiring on July 5, 2016. The hybrid variant returns an excellent 39-mpg overall, but if you want a traditional gasoline engine you can choose between a 1.5- or 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder paired to a six-speed automatic. considers the Ford Fusion a delight to drive, noting a supple ride and handling that rivals a European sports sedan.
Honda Accord
The ever-popular Honda Accord is well-equipped and priced competitively and you can save up to $1,460 by taking advantage of incentives before they expire on July 5, 2016. The sedan handles responsively, although the ride tends to be choppy. It is, however, very roomy and has a well-finished interior with the base four-cylinder engine returning 30 mpg overall. Perhaps the best news for some is that the Honda Accord is available with a six-speed manual transmission.
Honda CR-V
Sticking with the Honda brand, the Japanese automaker is also offering the CR-V with up to $1,046 in savings. As one of the roomiest, most functional small SUVs available today, the Honda CR-V boasts a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 184 horsepower while returning 24-mpg overall in ‘ tests. The interior is loud compared to its competition, but the rear seats are roomy and folding them flat is a breeze.
Honda Odyssey
Or maybe you’re in need of a minivan? The Honda Odyssey has attractive savings up to $1,971, giving you a versatile and capable hauler that features clever and generous packaging. Handling is responsive and a 3.5-liter V6 is paired to a smooth six-speed automatic to help return up to 21 mpg overall. The Odyssey minivan can seat up to eight comfortably and other notables include easy access, excellent child-seat accommodations and abundant cabin storage.
Kia Sorento
The Kia Sorento may come from a Korean automaker, but it is assembled in the U.S. Potential savings of $2,517 can be had until July 5, allowing you to get access to either a four-cylinder model with 185 hp or a responsive V6 with 290 hp. The suspension on the Sorento absorbs the worst bumps while the interior design “is flat-out gorgeous,” according to . Best of all, it has well-above-average predicted reliability.
Lincoln MKZ
The Lincoln MKZ is based on the Ford Fusion, which is also on the list. For the luxury version, however, you can save up to $2,292 until July 5 thanks to incentives. It’s more luxurious and has a quieter interior compared to the Fusion and powertrains include a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and a 3.7-liter V6. And like the Ford Fusion, there’s a hybrid variant that returns a near-class-best 34 mpg overall.
Nissan Rogue
Lastly, there’s the Nissan Rogue with up to $1,491 in savings available until May 31. One of the better small SUVs available today, the Nissan Rogue is easy to drive and rides better than most competitors. It is also fairly quiet and refined with power coming from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Inside, the cabin is spacious and nicely finished with roomy second-row seating. There’s also an optional third-row seat available.
