Porsche 911 GT3 RS Next to Receive Facelift

Porsche has begun testing a facelift for the 911 GT3 RS model.

With the updated 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 debuting at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the German automaker’s attention is now on the hardcore RS variant. It’s the first time spy photographers have caught it testing on public roads in Germany and it’s sporting an updated front bumper similar to the one found on the refreshed GT3. At the rear however, Porsche hasn’t updated the prototype with the new bumper and lights, as it’s still wearing the current pieces.

Expect to see the Porsche 911 GT3 RS get a power increase to around 520 to 540 horsepower, now that the standard GT3 is sporting 500 hp. Although Porsche has yet to confirm it, don’t be surprised to see a manual transmission be offered on the GT3 RS along with the company’s PDK.

Look for the facelifted Porsche 911 GT3 RS to make its debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show this September.
