What Is This Crazy Supercar and When Can We Have It?

A mysterious electric vehicle has been spotted making laps at the Nurburgring, with styling that could rival McLaren, Ferrari and Lamborghini.

According to , the mysterious car is from Chinese automaker NextEV and will reportedly have 1,360 horsepower and a top speed of 186 mph. Those figures also make it good for a zero-to-60 mph time of three seconds, making it a very interesting electric supercar that we have heard very little about.

But this short video is proof that NextEV’s project is coming to life and it could have plans to set a new record for electric cars at the Nurburgring, which is currently held by Toyota with a time of 7:22.329 with its all-electric EV P002.

reports that NextEV only plans on making six units of the mysterious EV. What makes things interesting is the Audi that is following the electric supercar, since NextEV has joined up with JAC to make a range of affordable electric vehicles. As one of the largest automotive companies in China, JAC has recently been in discussions with Volkswagen for a joint venture, which could explain why there’s and Audi trailing this mystery blue EV. That, or the Audi is making its own laps as part of the Nurburgring Driving Academy, which is what the decals on the car suggest.
