Top Gear USA is Coming Back

The U.S.-spec version of the car-crazy television show created by the BBC, is coming back. 

BBC America has decided to green light an eight-episode season of that will reportedly debut before the end of 2017.

Just like on British there will be three all-new hosts to lead the show. The trio will consist of actor William Fichtner (drag racing champion Antron Brown and a British automotive journalist named Tom “Wookie” Ford.

This will be the third iteration of following the moderately successful History Channel version which was cancelled in June of 2016. Before that, NBC shot a pilot of the show which never took off.

“We are big fans of the mix of cars, credibility and charisma that adds up to the winning formula for , and couldn’t be happier that BBCA is now the home for the franchise in the US, with joining the original show on our network,” said network president and GM Sarah Barnett.
