The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has named its Top Safety Pick+ award winners for 2017.
Earlier this year, IIHS introduced new headlight evaluations, which are now factored in to the top award. In order to receive a Top Safety Pick+ award from IIHS, a vehicle must earn good ratings in the small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraints tests, as well as an advanced or superior rating for front crash prevention with standard or optional autobrake. Headlights must earn a good or acceptable rating.
