Virtual Porsche sports cars could soon be featured in more video games.
For the most part, the German automaker’s vehicles have been exclusive to Electronic Arts properties, namely the games. But now, Porsche branded entertainment manager, Sebastian Hornung, has confirmed that the license with EA runs out this year, opening the doors for other games to bring Porsche vehicles to the virtual world.
Porsche has made minor appearances in other franchises over the recent years, like the Porsche expansion for , although that was paid DLC. The manufacturer also made appearances in and, further confirming that its license with EA expired this year.

It appears that Porsche intends to expand its presence in the virtual world, and will likely agree to licensing deals with other franchises in the future. The big question is whether Porsche will be featured in the upcoming on the PlayStation 4. It wouldn’t be the first time Porsche has appeared in a GT title, when creator Kazunori Yamauchi had his personal 996 GT3 modeled in the game for .
