The Lucid Motors Air has debuted and it could be a real Tesla killer.

Equipped with the largest battery pack in the automotive world, the Lucid Air has an optional 130-kWh battery to deliver an all-electric range of 400 miles (643 kilometers). The company said a 100-kWh battery is standard but it’s unclear what range that model offers.

The aim of the new luxury sedan is to fill the luxury, sports and commuter needs of drivers with its electric motors combining to offer 1,000 horsepower and a zero-to-60 (0-96 km/h) time of just 2.5 seconds.

The car is also ready for autonomous technology, with short and long range radar, cameras and Lidar. Some of the self-driving features will be available at launch while others will be added through over-the-air updates, just like Tesla.

Pricing for a well-optioned model is expected to exceed $100,000, but the company wants to deliver a cheaper model around $65,000 in the future. Production of the Lucid Air is said to start in 2018 at the company’s new factory in Arizona.
