The new Porsche Panamera introduced us to the Turbo S E-Hybrid powertain which is set to spread to at least on more model.
Porsche confirmed to that the Cayenne will be adopting the new hybrid powertrain, which has a total system output of 680 horsepower and 628 lb-ft of torque. It is comprised of a turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 paired to an electric motor.
In the Panamera, the Turbo S E-Hybrid sends the car to 62 mph from a stand still in 3.4 seconds, while top speed is limited to 193 mph.

With its all-electric Mission E sports car on the horizon and the rise of electrification across its lineup, Porsche wants to push the idea of an electrified top-trim model, which is exactly what the Turbo S E-Hybrid will be for the Cayenne and is in the Panamera.
No hybrid powertrain will arrive in the current 911 according to Porsche, but the next generation of the brand’s famous sports car will be able to accommodate a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
