TRUUUUUUCKS!

And heavy-duty models no less. Which of these red-white-and-blue rigs would you rather own, the Ford F-350 or Chevrolet Silverado 3500? They’re both able to move mountains… literally.

Starting with the bow-tie offering, two engines are offered, with a 6.0-liter gasoline V8 serving base duty. It’s rated at 360 horsepower and 380 lb.-ft. of torque.

But for drivers that need more, they can opt for a 6.6-liter Duramax diesel, which delivers 445 ponies with a whopping 910 lb.-ft. of tire-smoking twist. For efficiency and enhanced performance, a six-speed automatic transmission is offered with both engines.

Like its cross-town rival, the F-350 is also available with two different powerplants. For customers that need maximum capability, there’s a 6.7-liter Power Stroke compression-ignition V8 that doles out 440 horsepower and 925 lb.-ft.

Naturally, a gasoline engine is also on the menu, a 6.2-liter single-overhead-camshaft two-by-four that’s rated at 385 ponies and 430 units of twist. A six-speed automatic is standard with each engine.

As for towing and hauling, the reasons you buy a heavy-duty truck, each of these rigs is amazingly capable.

Maximum trailering weight is north of 30,000 pounds for each rig, with the Ford holding a slight edge when properly equipped, of course. They’re also capable of hauling literal TONS in their beds, far more than most drivers would ever need.

As for amenities, the F-350 boasts of a newly redesigned interior, which brings much of the smaller F-150’s luxuries and technology to a larger format. The Silverado also has plenty of features and creature comforts.

So, which of these trucks would YOU rather own? Well, compare them here and make sure to vote in our poll!
