Poll: Cadillac CTS-V or BMW M5?

Which mega-caliber super sedan would you rather drive, the BMW M5 or Cadillac CTS-V? Vote in our latest poll!

Both of these thoroughbred machines can deliver more smiles per mile than many drivers can fathom, but which is a better choice? Let’s explore.

The Cadillac CTS-V features a 6.2-liter small block V8 under its hood. With a supercharger multiplying normal atmospheric pressure it packs a wallop in the form of 640 SAE-certified horses and 630 lb-ft of twist.

This high-power Caddy features an intelligent eight-speed automatic transmission, which sends all of the engine’s goods to the car’s rear wheels. Helping rein in all of this performance potential is the latest iteration of GM’s magnetic ride control system. Likewise, monster brakes bring everything to a secure and likely fade-free stop.

As for the Bimmer, it’s motivated by a twin-turbocharged V8 that’s good for a still-remarkable 560 horses and 500 lb-ft of twist, figures that fall short of the CTS-V but are still plenty robust.

Making up for this, the M5 is offered with either a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission or a manual with six forward ratios, a major point for the BMW. Like the Cadillac, this car also brandishes more features and amenities than can be mentioned.

So, which of these two super-sedans do YOU like better? Well, if you still need a hand figuring out which one tickles your fancy more, feel free to price and compare them right here. Lastly, please vote in our poll so we can see which car more people like!
