Nissan Celebrates 50th Anniversary of the Z with Special Edition Model

The 2018 Nissan 370Z Heritage Edition will make its debut at the New York Auto Show next week.

The special model is scheduled to arrive Nissan dealerships nationwide this spring and incorporates enhancements to the 370Z Coupe for the 2018 model year, including new headlight and rear combination light treatment, new rear fascia paint scheme, smoke chrome door handles and new Exedy high-performance clutch for the manual transmission. The Heritage Edition package is available on the base model 370Z and is offered in two exterior colors: Chicane Yellow and Magnetic Black. The Chicane Yellow model is contrasted by black outside mirrors, gloss black graphics and yellow interior trim while the Magnetic Black version features gloss silver graphics and yellow interior trim.

The model is powered by a 3.7-liter V6 engine sporting 332 horsepower and is available with a choice of six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic with Downshift Rev Matching (DRM).

Along with the 2018 Nissan 370Z Heritage Edition, the Japanese automaker will show off the 2017 Nissan GT-R Track Edition at the New York Auto Show. Also on display at the Nissan booth will be numerous specially-modified Nissan Rogue and Rogue Sport crossovers, likely to celebrate the DVD/Blu-ray release of .

“Over the past five decades there have been a number of special Z trim packages that have added a sense of customization straight off the showroom floor,” said Michael Bunce, vice president, product planning, Nissan North America, Inc. “The new 2018 370Z Heritage Edition honors that tradition, blending it with the modern design and performance of the 2018 370Z. We’re pleased to be debuting the new Heritage Edition in New York, one of the top Z markets from the very beginning.”

So far, there are no plans to bring this special edition Z to Canada.
