Chevy plans to show off the 2016 Camaro 1LE later this week at the Chicago Auto Show.

The package will be all-new for the redesigned 2016 Camaro and will offer improved performance thanks to plenty of added parts.

On the 2015 Camaro 1LE (seen above), the package consists of performance upgrades that include a shorter final drive ratio, wider tires and thicker stabilizer bars. Weight reduction is also used to help this pony car hustle, while new wheel bearings, toe links, a strut tower brace and monotube dampers borrowed from ZL1 also helped it stick to the ground.

With the redesigned 2016 Camaro, the 1LE package should be even more compelling, as it starts with an even lighter, stiffer package. Power from the 2016 Camaro’s 6.2-liter V8 will likely go unchanged at 455 horsepower and the same amount of torque, though an upgraded exhaust is expected to help the engine breathe freely and sound awesome.
